Since Monday is a holiday, the dealership that is selling the minivan is going to be closed. So, plan B is to either overnight or wire the money and then pick up the minivan next week.
Yes, this poses another problem. Next week is the week we are scheduled to go to Sacramento. So, we will be playing that trip by ear now. Ryan will fly out of here Tuesday (June 7), get there in the evening. Probably get the minivan on Wednesday and start driving back. It will be a few days to get back. I think straight driving time is a whole two days then add on resting, fueling, eating and I don't know how long it will be.
If we could afford it, I'd love to have us all fly out to PA, then take the drive back together. But that may go slower and rule out a visit to CA completely. Or if we really pushed, we could go straight to CA for a couple of days. But we can't afford three plane tickets.
It's a bummer that the trip down to Sac is going to get shortened at best. But on the other hand, this way Ryan will be gone over already approved time off from work and that will be a blessing. Otherwise he was going to have to try to find someone to cover for him and that isn't easy. Plus, Ryan is supposed to be studying for a final. lol It is better for him to take the trip after that final is over.
