And there you have it! We ordered a Portrait Study, which is a framed 20x20 collage of some of our favorite pics. I can't wait to get it! Now I just need to figure out where I'm gonna put it! lol

Family Portraits
Up on our wall is a portrait that has us gathered around Aurora, who is laying in a basket as a newborn. Well, that just won't do! She's up and walking! So, it was time for an update. We took ourselves to the portrait studio and here are some of the pics we ended up with. Mind you, it wasn't our best shoot. Little Miss was being a major PILL. She didn't want to stay still! She wanted to wander around and check everything out! But we still had some cute stuff and is a sampling of my favorites (some are the same picture with different enhancements)...

Let's Eat Cake!
Last night we had a little party for Aurora! We had a BBQ and some friends over to share in the fun. Rori was pretty good but didn't want to cooperate most of the time. We have just a couple pictures of her... until the cake! lol Oh my goodness, was that FUN!!! We took over 40 pics and only 10 of them were not pictures of her eating cake! lol
So here you go... Pictures from Rori's party...
Helping Daddy man the grill

Running away while we were trying to have her open gifts.

The party cake. The figure actually does dance, it's a wind-up toy.

Isn't this what you picture when you want to sing "Happy Birthday" to someone?

Well, that all lasted until this moment...

She had her own little cake so she could just "dig in" and have fun! From this point on, she was LOVIN' life!

Of course, once we decided she had had enough "fun" and tried to take her tray away, we got this...

And then we threw her into the tub!!!

I was worried she'd be sick today from all that sugar, but she was just fine. She was able to enjoy her gifts a lot more today too, since she wasn't cranky anymore. She seems pretty pleased! :)

Say "Cheese!"
Chuck E. Cheese, that is!
Yesterday we took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese's to celebrate Rori's birthday! We are having a little BBQ with some friends tomorrow night for her little party but we wanted to do something on her actual birthday too. So it was just us (and a million other kids, lol). It actually wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought it might be, considering it was the weekend and right at dinner time!
We had a lot of fun! Rori loved it! She liked all the lights and sounds and just kept looking at everything! They gave her a balloon and crown since it was her birthday...

While we were eating, Chuck E. Cheese came by our table to say "Hi". Rori was not too sure how she felt about him at first, I think it startled her to see him standing right there all of a sudden. But later, while he visited other tables, she coudn't keep her eyes off of him! She tried to wave to him a couple of times too. lol

Rori liked playing in the toddler area!

After Chuck E. Cheese's, we came home and Rori opened up a couple of her presents. Of course, she LOVED the Elmo wrapping paper the most! lol

Then we let her have her first taste of ice cream! YUM!!!

Even though Rori still has no clue what a "birthday" is, I think she had a fun one! We'll have even more celebrating tomorrow when we have some friends over and she gets to have some cake too! :)

Now and Then
Most of you know that we take a picture of Rori every month on her "month birthday". It's always on the same blanket and with the same teddy bear so we can watch her grow. Well, today we took the last of her monthly pics! Here are the pictures from today...

Now... Just for fun, how about seeing just how much Rori has grown this past year....
The first month pics were taken at Ryan's mom's house so they are done with a different blanket but here it is... One month old and one year old...
