Just a couple of things that just tickle me pink:
•Rori is big on saying "Thank you". When we would walk through the automatic doors at the hotel, she would say "Thank you" when they opened. lol
•Rori likes to play dress up. Lately she's especially taken to purses. She puts them over her shoulder and says, "Bye bye!" really sweet and blows you a kiss as she walks away. She usually keeps a toy cell phone in it and will pull it out to "talk" on it every 2 minutes or so. We have a box that our external hard drive came in that has a handle on the top of the box. Today, she is toting that around like you would a briefcase. Yesterday when we left the house to do errands, she had to bring it with her. lol
•Rori is saying a lot of words and several sentences. She likes to be dramatic and often when she plays, she likes to pretend that she needs to be rescued. Today she was climbing on the tubs of camping stuff that I have out right now and she calls over to me, "Help us! Help us!" lol Last night in the tub, it was the fish that needed rescuing. She had some Finding Nemo toys and she'd toss one to the other side of the tub and say, "Help Daddy!" (She calls Nemo's dad Daddy... duh. lol)
•Lately, Rori comes up to me periodically and just says, "Hug?" If that doesn't melt one's heart, I don't know what will.
•Rori's picking up on what "pretty" means. The other day we were driving across town and had a great view of Mt. Hood. She pointed to it and said, "Oh wow. Pretty!" She was right - it was a gorgeous view. :)
•Recently, after doing something I had asked her to do, I heard her say "Good girl!" when she was done. I made sure to agree with her right away, she was being a good girl. :)
•We are both missing Ryan and Cadi now. I put on a video of Cadi's last piano recital and Rori came running up, shouting, "Cadia! Cadia!" Then she danced to the music and clapped and cheered when it was done.
I love both of my sweet girls. And I especially love when my terror of a toddler has these especially sweet moments. It helps me get through those other less-than-sweet moments. ;)

My mom hit me.
Alright, so she didn't "hit" me, she "tagged" me... hit/tag... same difference. ;)

Vacay Pics Pt. 4
We headed to Myrtle Beach Wednesday morning. I was excited to be heading somewhere that would hopefully be less hot and humid. lol I was also excited to meet Ryan's other cousin in the area, Suzie. And of course, I was excited to go to the beach!
We got to Myrtle Beach around lunchtime and checked into our hotel. Suzie is the manager at the Sheraton and she told us she would set us up with our rooms but we were shocked when we checked in and found out we were going to be staying in the Presidential Suite!

Rori really liked playing in the windows. lol

After we had checked in, we quickly got ready to go to the beach! We went to a spot that was about half way between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach (it was much less crowded). The waves were a little higher than normal but we still had a great time! The water was wonderful! It wasn't anything like the water on the West Coast, it was warm! I loved it!

Don't worry, Rori was never allowed near the water without one of the adults. Though, she tried. lol

Ryan took turns pulling the girls on the boogie board. They loved it! lol

After having a great time at the beach, we went back to our room to shower and clean up.

Suzie got us tickets to see Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede that night. It was fun, the girls really enjoyed it. Some of the stunts were pretty cool. Here are a few pictures:

After the show, we hit some outlets and did some shopping. :) Later when we got home, I took a pic of the view from our room at night:

It was a fun day - we fit a lot in! There's still more to come, so check back in later! :)

Vacay Pics Pt. 3
On Monday, we (Ryan, me, the girls, Ryan's parents, and Ryan's grandma) went to the mall to get pictures taken. We had four generations together and we wanted to make sure to get some portraits taken. Unfortunately, I don't have any of them yet. We are having them all sent to Masachusetts and when Ryan and Cadi come home, they will bring ours then. So... sit tight for those.
Later that night though, we all went out to dinner together:

You can really see how hot we were in these next pics. The locals were fine, but we were just sweating nonstop! And even when we were inside, the a/c would be on and that was nice, but it was rarely set low enough where we were really comfortable, it was still kind of muggy. So, please excuse our glistening skin and greasy-looking hair. We really did bathe while we were there! lol

On Tuesday, we (Ryan, Susan, and I) took the girls to the local children's science museum, SciWorks.

Rori really liked looking at the fish through the window:

This place has really gone to the birds!

Rori's been working on her animal noises, so it was fun for her to play with the farm animals:

We saw the museum's plantetarium laser show. We were all thinking "naptime", laying back in those seats ready for the room to get nice and dark. But that laser show was so BUSY that we all ended up dizzy and sick instead. And by all, I mean Ryan, Susan, and I. The girls were totally fine. lol

Here's another pic from that day, Susan took it when I was giving Rori a piggyback ride.

The next set of pictures will be from Myrtle Beach! Stay tuned!
