I missed a day!

I didn't post yesterday and therefore I didn't get to continue my countdown!

I'll just have to adjust I guess.

Not much is going on. Yesterday I was hoping to have the bathroom finished, but Ryan decided to procrastinate. "Why do today what I can put off til next week." He found out he isn't working next week like he had thought so he's decided to do it then. But then, last night someone from work said he is supposed to be working, so...I guess he needs to figure that out.

Instead, we were lazy. I was whooped after walking (I ran parts of it.). We had one of Acadia's friends over. We also got our internet fixed, but the wireless router is still giving Debi problems. We played a game or two and watched some movies. Real productive.

Today I'm supposed to meet someone at the church to check supplies in our closet. I think I'll do some shopping while I'm out. I need to do laundry and roomba. And if SOMEONE would put away the dishes in the dishwasher like they're supposed to, I will be able to load up the piles of dishes that need to be washed.

I did walk today, but only 2.25 miles. I started to get a blister so I quit early. Yeah, that's the day for you. I know it's terribly exciting! But it's alright because all I have to do is remind myself...

8 more days!!!!

I love my new shoes!

I got new walking shoes this weekend so I can break them in before Florida. Thanks to Jeremy Crandall, who helps us with Enrichment every month and works at the Shoe Pavillion, I got a great pair of shoes that are soooooo comfy!

I put them to use today and started getting back to my old routine. I got on the treadmill and was feeling good but I got interrupted by a phone call from one of my best friends. That's alright because I haven't talked to her in a long time. I did get back on the treadmill but instead of walking 3 miles, I only walked 2. Oh well.

After my shower, I need to help Ryan get going on the final touches to our bathroom. We are sealing grout today and I think we'll be putting the baseboard moulding down too. One of Cadi's friends that are moving will be over soon to play. Tomorrow another one will come over. Poor Cadi, she's going to miss them.

Just in case you lost count...10 days!

*scream*

I have never felt so disorganized!

Enrichment is next week and I don't feel ready. We are celebrating Liberties (appropriate) both temporal and spiritual. We finally managed "classes" last week. But we are still scrambling for someone to start us out at dinner with BBQing tips. I am hoping the dinner committee is working out, I haven't heard anything about it. But I am sure it will all work out.

Everyone on my committee is very capable and have ALWAYS pulled through for me. I am just freaking out because I've been gone so much and feel out of touch and out of control! :scream:

In other news...

We are having fun planning our DisneyWorld Vacation...12 days and counting!
We are already hearing fireworks outside! Just about everything is legal here, which makes it fun but also a little scary too.

I went to a party tonight for two families in our ward who are moving this next week. It's sad to see friends leave. You want to be happy for them, but you feel selfish and want them to stay. We wish them the best though. Acadia will have a couple of playdates with her friends next week before they go.

Debi's Pictures

Here are some pictures Debi took this week. Clarification: these are pictures taken with Debi's camera. Obviously the picture of her bowling was taken by someone else...me.

Now I just need copies from Landon's camera. :thumb:

Playing in the Park

We had fun playing in the park yesterday. We played ball and took turns batting. You can see the photos on PhotoBucket. They just weren't good enough pictures to post here. Sorry.

After playing ball, we walked around the marsh. Ryan caught a couple of snakes.

For dinner we went to Boppin' Bo's.

Today we take him to the train station to send him back to Canada. We've had a great visit with him. It went by way too fast! (But that means DisneyWorld is just around the corner!!!:thumb:) Acadia has plotted to lock him in her closet. He can put in food orders and she'll feed him. I asked if he would miss his mom, she said he could send e-mails from our computer. And she said he could send cards. I think she finally decided that wouldn't be nice. But she still thinks we should stop him from getting on the train.

Another Update

We had fun at the Ape Caves on Saturday. It was nice and cool which was really nice since it was so warm that day! We started out on the easy trail, did that, then went on and did the difficult trail. Debi and I probably wouldn't have been able to complete it without at least one of the guys. Here are some pictures:

Yesterday we went bowling. It was pretty fun. We played two games and Ryan was the ultimate winner. After bowling, Ryan took me out to dinner while Landon and Debi watched Acadia. They were sweet and cleaned up the house before we got home. Then we all went to the river to find our log. I don't think I made an entry about it, but my sister did. Awhile back, we went to the river and found this long branch washed up on the shore. It extended out over the water. We started playing on it and challenged each other to crawl out to the end of it. It doesn't sound impressive, but believe me, it was scary! Our only regret is that we didn't have our cameras with us. So this time we took them.

Ryan was the first out then Debi went to follow.

When we did it last time, we did it one at a time. So once I started out to join them, we learned that it couldn't hold all of us. I felt it starting to tip and got off. They weren't so lucky.

Debi managed to hang on, but Ryan was completely drenched. He thought he'd "help" Debi experience the sensation by knocking her off.

But she foiled his plan by hopping down on her own and saved herself from a complete immersion.

We just got back from seeing Harry Potter. (Acadia went to a friend's house to play.) Now we are heading out to the park to play ball.
