We went to get our haircuts today. Here are pictures of me and Acadia with our hair chopped!
Ryan got his hair cut too, but he's at a meeting now so we couldn't take his picture. Maybe another time.

Mumble Jumble
Today is National Side Dish Day. It's also International Children's Day...I wonder if that's related?
Well, I haven't even decided what to have for dinner, let alone for side dish. Any ideas? All of Debi's requests required going to the store. I've got lots of chicken breasts, maybe something with that. I'll have to think about it.
I finished touching up the bathroom last night! But now I've just got tons of housework to do until Ryan is able to prep the floors so I can help tile. I think he said it would take a couple of days though. Huh, that's alot of time to do housework. :annoyed: Sounds fun.
Alright. Since I can't think of anything very interesting to talk about I'm going to go start on all that housework. Besides, I think Cadi wants to eat breakfast and Simon is barking to let him in. My day begins...

It's a good day.
Today I finished the bathroom ceiling and walls!!! :thumb:
There is a spot I'll probably need to touch up tonight, but other than that...it's done!!!
Now, I turn it over to Ryan who will finish the plumbing and install the lights and heater/fan. Tomorrow a friend is coming to help Ryan figure out exactly what to do for the flooring. Then we'll see where it goes. I want to finish the floor this week, but it might not be so quick. We are installing ceramic tiles and I don't know all the steps it takes to finish.
My feet hurt, my hands are sore but I don't care, I'm just glad it's done. It actually looks like a bathroom again.
Okay, here are some pics:
Acadia liked to watch the progress in the bathroom.
Here I am applying the joint compound.
Acadia helped me paint.
This is how it looked when Ryan handed the job to me...
And how it looks now.

It's Prime Time!
We are making progress in the bathroom! I've finished the mudding and sanding. Now we've started priming! But, in the middle of priming, there was a knock at the door...
The Sister Missionaries needed to use the restroom. I looked so bad!!! I was covered in drywall dust/powder and primer, the house was a wreck, and the primer was stinking up the house! But, they were sweet and ignored the piles of clothes on my bedroom floor, the 1/4" of drywall powder that migrated through the house, and the fact that Acadia was still in her pajamas! I promised them that if they came back in a week or so the bathroom would be done and it would all have been worth it.
So, we are nearing the "home stretch"! YEAH!!! I can't wait for this to be over!!! Then we can start the next nightmare!

I'm beat!
I am so sore and tired!!!
We're at the point in the bathroom where I can actually help and I have been! Ryan finished the drywall a couple of days ago and that means it's time to apply the mud. I've been working on it for a day and a half (with some help from Debi...Thanks Debi ) and today I need to work some more. If I can finish the mud today, we can start sanding and priming tomorrow. Then we can paint on Monday and we'll be ready to hand it back to Ryan again...installing lights, heater/fan, and prepping floor for tiles.
But back to me being sore and tired! My arms hurt just a little from having to do the ceiling. But mostly my feet are killing me!!! I've been standing on the ladder steps and my feet hate me for it! Today I need to get cracking on it again, take a break to go help with a funeral (Debi said she'd do it while I was gone...Thanks Debi ) then finish it when I get back. My poor feet...

Acadia: 1st time - Sleeping Beauty, 2nd time Ariel, 3rd time (with manipulating) - Belle
Ryan: Belle
If you have the DVD, take the test and tell us your results!

I'm a copy cat.
