New Moon

Was SO MUCH BETTER than Twilight!! :)

The movies will just not be as good as the books, that's a given, but this one was pretty close. They didn't deviate very much and I thought the directing was so much better! There were still a couple of things I would have done differently. Like, they tweaked the look of most of the Cullens and I'm not a fan of how they did it. I liked how they looked in Twilight, they were less attractive to me this time. But they were hardly even in this one so that's okay.

We had a great group going together last night. I think when all was said and done we had 19 or 20 people! And all but two came over afterwards for ice cream. It was fun to go with friends, even though it was so crazy-crowded in the theater we couldn't get seats all together. We all sat with someone, no one was alone. :)

One of the best parts for me was that I was able to surprise Acadia and let her come with us. My friend saw it Thursday night and told me on Friday that it was "clean" (no make out scenes in her underwear - hello, where is that in the book????) and there were still tickets left, so I grabbed one for her right away. She was so excited when I told her! And she liked it a lot, a couple of her friends were there and she got to sit with them, which made it even more fun for her. :)

Even though Twilight was SO not how *I* would have made it, I liked it a lot and went to see it in the theater FIVE times. Makes me wonder how many times we'll be going to see New Moon. lol

A Happy Noise

I always like hearing Acadia play and practice the piano. And ever since she got her Twilight piano book, it's been especially pleasant to listen while she learns Bella's Lullaby. (She's playing it right now and it's so relaxing and enjoyable, I could just lay on the couch and doze off listening to it.) :)

Cadi's Twilight Birthday Party, that's what!!!

Last night was Acadia's birthday party and we had so much fun!!! 

I had so much fun planning and preparing for it!  Cadi wanted the Twilight party but I think it was just as much fun for me as it was for her!  I even invited some of my girlfriends over to enjoy it with us, which Acadia certainly did not mind - she loves my friends, too. :)  I took lots of pictures and I'll share many of them, but I do not have permission to post my friends' pics or some of Cadi's friends' pics.  I do have permission to post Cadi's friends/our neighbors, Kaitlyn and Jessica though.   :)

I also have LOTS of pics of the decorations; I think we did a pretty good job. :)

But first, a quick recap of the night:

Like I posted earlier, Mother Nature helped to set the mood by creating a very "Forks" atmosphere.  And of course, the party took place during "twilight" hours. (6:30-9pm) lol 

(I told you I had fun planning this! lol)

When the guests first arrived, they had lots of fun, yummy, (and red) snacks to munch on while the Twilight Soundtrack played in the background.  Then we had our "Italiana" dinner... which was just pizza. lol  I couldn't get Cadi to let me make lasagna or spaghetti or raviolis or anything, so pizza it was.  Which is good because it was easy. lol  We played a couple of party games.  One was a word scramble and word search using Twilight names and words, the other game was a Trivia game that Cadi, Susan B., and I made up while getting our pedicures.  The order in which the girls placed for each game determined which order they would get to pick out some of the items going in their goodie bags.  I made little Twilight tote bags for each girl which included: a Twilight pen, some Starbursts (One of Cadi's favorite candies.), and then their choice of a Twilight book mark, and their choice of a little Twilight button pin.  Next we had yummy cake and ice cream, and finally we opened gifts.  One of the last gifts Cadi opened was a Twilight game we bought her.  While the girls waited for their parents to come get them, they had fun playing the Twilight game.

After the party, my friends visited for awhile longer, we laughed while a few of us (and by "us", I mean "not me") inhaled helium, and let the kids be a little wild and crazy.  Then when everyone else had left, our neighbors stayed and started watching Twilight with us.  It was getting late and everyone was tired, so they went home about half way through, but I let Cadi stay up (to 12:30!!!) watching the rest.  It was a super fun night for everyone! :)

Channeling Forks

It was so nice of Mother Nature to cooperate today! We've had rather pleasant weather for the last couple of weeks. Not super sunny, kind of overcast, coolish, but not wet. However, Mother Nature heard we were having a Twilight party today and helpd us to "channel Forks" by raining! It's the perfect touch! :)

Twilight Mani and Pedis

Cadi and I like to get manicure and pedicures from time to time and as part of her birthday gift, I took her to get them today, too.  We were joined by our friend and neighbor, Susan B.  It was Susan's first time... and she has very ticklish feet... it was fun! lol

Acadia and I wanted red and black to match the Twilight theme for the party tonight.  Here are pics:

Let's go into Twilight!

Acadia's 10th birthday is next week.  Man, I'm getting old!  Double-digits!  Can you believe it?  I can't!  But as I was saying, her birthday is next week and we'll be having a super-duper fun party for her.  Per her request, we'll have a Twilight themed party.  All of her friends that are coming have seen the movie so we'll be playing Twilight games (like trivia, word searches, etc) and having an Italiana dinner (only pizza since Cadi vetoed having lasagna, spaghetti, or raviolis, lol).  We'll decorate in red and black and have red apples, chocolate covered strawberries, red twizzlers, red punch, and a Twilight cake.  We're even giving Twilight party favors (some made, some bought).  I think I'm just as excited for this party as Cadi is! lol

Last night we made the invites to be delivered today.  I think they turned out really good!  I blocked out the address and phone because that doesn't need to be on the world-wide web, but you get the idea:

I need your brilliant ideas!

And even if you're not a Twilight fan, you can probably still come up with creative suggestions that I wouldn't think of.

Here's the thing: Acadia wants to have a Twilight party for her birthday next month. I'm looking for fun, creative, appropriate, and hopefully inexpensive ideas for: invitations, decorations, party games, cake, food, party favors, etc.

This is what I have so far, but keep in mind, even though I have some ideas, I'm open to more:

•I'm thinking of making my own invitations, going with an elegant look. I'd use black, white, and red papers, ribbons, and ink and use the same font that "Twilight" is written in.

•For decorations, I'm thinking about black and red streamers, a Twilight poster or two, red and black tablecloth/plates/napkins/etc, red/black/white candles, maybe creative apple decorations(? any helpful ideas on this one?), possibly white "twinkle lights", etc.

•Party games: We will not be watching the movie because there won't be enough time. All of the guests will have already seen the movie. So, probably a Twilight trivia game, maybe a word scramble using twilight words/names. Again, other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

•Cake... I'm torn on this. I can get an edible Twilight picture to have placed on a standard 1/4 sheet cake. Or, we could have a red velvet cake. I welcome opinions/ideas to help us decide this one. I might even be open to making it myself... if it's super-duper easy. But it has to be foolproof!

•Food... This could be fun. I thought maybe a chocolate fondue with fruit - especially strawberries. Apples as decorations or to eat. If we have a meal, possibly pizza? (You know, Italiana... I know, it's a stretch. lol) Red Vines (Bella eats them in the movie). Red punch. More ideas please!

•I have some Twilight pens and buttons (pins) with Twilight characters on them for favors, and I'm thinking about getting Twilight bookmarks, but I'm open to more (INEXPENSIVE) ideas.

•We will have our Twilight Soundtrack playing in the background. :)

So please share with me all of your creativity! We're most likely having the party at our house in the evening (you know, around Twilight ;) lol).

March???

Really??? Time is going by so fast! I'm not sad to see March arrive; after all, it comes in like a lion and out like a lamb right? (I wouldn't mind being a little closer to the "lamb" weather... not that we've had much "lion" like weather around here lately.) It just seems too soon to be March. Didn't we just celebrate the New Year?

And speaking of lions and lambs... Saw Twilight for the 5th time last night. lol

Edward: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb...
Bella: What a stupid lamb.
Edward: What a sick, masochistic lion.

Hee, hee. Twilight makes me smile. :)

Quick Catch-Up

All things Twilight:

•Saturday, as part of our GNO, Natalie (formally known as Millie) and I hit the $3.00 movies to see Twilight. Later we met up with our other GNO pals and as we played wii and talked and laughed, we all decided to go again because everyone else was bummed they weren't able to make the earlier showing. So we did! lol I was worried that I might find parts of it boring just for the simple fact that I had JUST watched it hours before, but NOPE! I think I like the movie more and more each time I see it. (Saturday was viewing 3 and 4)

•Today I stopped by Beacock Music to pick up the piano music for Twilight. Woohoo! Now I can play Bella's Lullaby like Edward does! ;) I still like my choice for Bella's Lullaby better, but hey, what can you do? I like the real Bella's Lullaby as a song a lot, just not for Bella's lullaby. :S

•Today I also pre-ordered my copy of the special 2-disc edition of the Twilight DVD! Can't wait for this time next month! :) If I've not gotten tired of seeing it in the theaters, then I'm pretty sure I need to own this movie. :)

Now, all things exercise-related:

•I cannot find my gym bag. Not for the life of me! Frustrating! Especially because I strongly suspect my gym bag contains my Ishuffle. :( I can use a different gym bag, but I have such a hard time working out without my shuffle. :S

•Today I stepped WAY out of my comfort zone in order to be a good/fun friend. I attended Natalie's (formally known as Millie) ward's new dance/aerobics class. Now, it would be helpful for you to know... I can't dance. So, this was truly a sincere act of friendship. But it turns out it was really fun! Kicked my butt, but lots of fun! And now, my calves are KILLING ME!!! Thankfully, this is a Monday/Friday class, so my calves have a few days to heal before being tortured again. ;)

And now, you're all caught up. :)

I went with low expectations...

but I have to say, I really liked it! But I really doubt anyone who hasn't read the books will like it. At least, not the first half.

Here are my two cents... if you are seeing the movie and don't want to be spoiled, don't read on. But if you've read the books, there's nothing to spoil, really. Unless you just don't want to hear how they portrayed anything until you see it yourself. So, read at your own risk. ;)

What I didn't like...

I thought the first parts were kind of rushed through and if someone hadn't read the books, it wouldn't make much sense. I mean, "the meadow scene" (which wasn't even in a meadow! Bummer, the place I saw in my head was so much prettier...) takes place with hardly anything leading up to it and almost all of the interactions they did have before it, were Edward being mad or rude or just stand off-ish. They didn't show very much positive interaction between them but then all of a sudden they're in love? In the books there is so much more that happens before that moment. If I hadn't read the books, at that point I would have totally been like, "Whatever!"

When I first saw pictures of the cast, I was just not buying many of the Cullens. They just didn't look right to me. And most especially Edward. After seeing the movie, I like most of the cast for the Cullens, but I still don't buy Edward though. So, I had to just put that out of my mind and forget that he's supposed to be gorgeous. I'm sorry, he just wasn't. But after seeing all the previews and pictures, I didn't expect him to be so I wasn't disappointed. It was just what I expected. :S Everyone else was fine though. I thought they directed Jasper a little oddly, I didn't get the impression he was like that all the time, but I totally think that was directing. I think the actor would be a good Jasper, actually. If he would act the way I saw him in my head. lol

What I did like...

I found the movie very entertaining and quite humorous. The whole audience was giggling and laughing throughout the whole movie. It helps to have read Midnight Sun because everytime you see a look on Edward's face, you know what he's thinking and it's just funny!

The second half of the movie is really, really good. I don't know how long the movie actually was, but it was close to two hours and it did not feel like it. That's a good sign. :) Ryan worked a really long week and was exhausted but even he felt like the movie was short and when I told him it was almost two hours, he was shocked!

Stephenie Meyer makes an appearance in the second cafe scene. The camera is right on her as she is sitting at the counter. That was cool. :)

To sum up...

I was pleasantly surprised! Before I saw the movie, I didn't know if I'd watch it more than once. Now I know that I will. I also didn't care if they make another one. But now, I really hope they do. :)

But the key is to go in with low expectations. There are things changed, Edward is not gorgeous, it's a low-budget film... but if you go in expecting that, and if you love the books, I think you'll like it too.

Bella's Lullaby

First of all - Yay to me for posting my 1,000th post! :)

But back to said post...

For the last several months, I have had a very specific idea of what I thought Bella's Lullaby should sound like (in Twilight). In case you were wondering, I thought "River Flows in You" would be perfect! (Even though I knew they weren't using an already composed piece of music, so I knew it wouldn't be used for it.) However, yesterday the Twilight Soundtrack came out and we finally got to hear what the real Bella's Lullaby will be. And I like it! It wasn't what I imagined but I really, really like it! And I'm now adding the sheet music to my wish list. ;)

He dazzles me. Frequently.

Tonight we went bowling after dinner. (It has been so long since the last time I went bowling - well, besides Wii. ;) And of course I broke a nail on the first frame! Ugh. That's one of my biggest reasons for loving Wii bowling! lol) As I got ready to enter our names in the computer, I was trying to decide which nicknames to use. But Ryan had a better idea, "Why don't you put in 'Edward' and 'Bella'?"

Gosh, I love him. :)

I vant to suck your blood!

Yesterday we began discussing what we want to be for Halloween. Acadia said that she wanted to be a vampire. Now, last year she had decided to be a horse, then wanted to switch to a vampire but instead combined it into one and was a vampire horse. What? You've never heard of a vampire horse? ;)

I told her that she could only be a vampire if she did it the right way: no fangs, no capes; she had to be a true vampire. A Twilight vampire. Well, that started her thinking... Soon we were all going to be vampires. We would be the Cullen Family. lol It was fun to talk about it for a little bit but of course, none of us could pull off being a vampire. Well, probably Rori could. She's cute (and dangerous) enough. ;)

I don't know where that leaves us for Halloween. But I do know that the only thing I found consoling about knowing we could never really dress up as the Cullens successfully was that I knew I could at least blog about the idea of it. :)

My Plea to Stephenie Meyer.

After reading Millie's plea and Klin's plea, I decided to join ranks and post my own plea as well.  For anyone not entirely sure of what I'm referring to, read this.

Dear Stephenie,

I was one of those reluctant readers.  My friends all raved about your books and I knew, I just KNEW, that if I so much as looked at one of them, I would become completely addicted, just as they were.  I really didn't have the time for another obsession and I was pretty pleased with myself for not giving into peer pressure.  Then my husband read an article about you in Time Magazine and decided that he wanted to read your books.  The next day, he brought home our first copy (yes, I say first because we do now own two copies) of Twilight.  He took that beautiful book out of the bookstore bag to show me, not realizing that he would not see that book again for 24 hours, unless it was in my hands with my nose buried deep in it.  The next day we rushed back to the bookstore to buy New Moon and Eclipse and reserved our copy of The Host as it was being released the following week.  Again, I took about 24 hours on each book and finally emerged two days later absolutely and completely in love with a vampire.  So many times that weekend, and since, I have lovingly told my husband that he is my Edward.  Thankfully, my husband has also read each book and realizes this is one of the best compliments that I can give him.

When I first heard of Midnight Sun, I was ECSTATIC!!!  Finally, we get to hear his thoughts!  We get to learn his side of the story!  I read the first chapter and just could not wait for Midnight Sun to be completed.  I began to look forward to Midnight Sun as much as Breaking Dawn and far more than the Twilight movie.  And now that we have read Breaking Dawn (which I personally enjoyed - as did my husband -  and I especially have enjoyed your answers to the FAQs; they helped me to understand more so that when rereading BD just recently, I found it even more enjoyable), Midnight Sun is by far the one thing I'm looking forward to most.

I was so disappointed to hear that someone in whom you had placed your trust had violated that confidence and leaked your partially finished manuscript.  I felt awful for you, for how that must make you feel.  I have never been in your situation but I can imagine that I would feel very hurt, offended, and betrayed.  I can understand why you have decided to put this project on hold.  I imagine (and I'm guessing here, so I could be totally off) that this may have totally thrown you off, making it more than a little difficult to really "get back into it".  I know you've said that when you're writing, you just write what the characters tell you.  And I can imagine that Edward's voice is not very easy to find right now. 

My plea is not for you to pick Midnight Sun back up and finish it right now.  (Though, that would be fine too. lol)  My hope is that you are able to take a break and spend your time with family and true friends, relaxing, loving, enjoying, and doing things that bring you happiness.  And then, my plea is for you to consider the many thousands of TRUE fans who respect you and your work, who have fallen in love with your characters, who support you completely, and who are dying to hear more of Edward's thoughts!  We are so sorry you have been hurt and we hope that you can heal quickly.  We honestly don't care about a paritally finished draft, we want Midnight Sun - the polished, finished book that you started.  We can wait but please don't make us wait too long!

Thank you for bringing these characters to life for us.  And thank you for providing us with good, clean books that entertain as well as any other series I've read.

I'm back!

Friday night was torture for me! I wanted to go to one of the release parties for Breaking Dawn so bad! But, when your husband is on the other side of the country and all of the YW are at girls camp, there are just things you are gonna miss out on. And this was one of them. So my next plan was to take my shower Friday night and get some decent sleep so I could get up, grab the kid, and fly out the door first thing in the morning! lol

I called Walmart to see if they had it and at what price. Can you believe the lady who was "helping" me didn't even know what Breaking Dawn is? What planet does she live on? ;) She claims they didn't have it - I'm POSITIVE they did and that she just had no idea what she was talking about, but I didn't want to take chances so I decided to just go to B&N where I had my copy reserved. Got there right at 8am. They open at 9am. Great plan, Sariah. Fortunately, in the same parking lot is a Target that opens at 8am. I figured, either they'll be lame like Walmart, in which case I'll take Rori out to breakfast and be back at B&N at 9am, or they'll be AWESOME and have it. Guess what? Target was AWESOME and had it! Infact, I walked in just as they were wheeling out the cart stacked with boxes and boxes of copies of Breaking Dawn. I stood right next to them as they opened a box, pulled out the top copy, and handed it to ME! Woohoo, the first one out of the box! And the price was better than B&N, too. :D

I raced home, fed the kid, put on a movie for her, and read. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the remainder of the day, adding in laying the kid down for a nap and an occasional diaper change. But yep, that was pretty much my entire day. And at 12:45am this morning, I finished it! Woohoo!

No worries, NO SPOILERS... yet! I will give others a chance to read before I *discuss*, but I will say that I am very satisfied with how it all ends! :D

I wanted to get a copy last night SO BADLY!!!  I even considered waking Rori up in the middle of the night to go grab myself one!  But then I came to my senses.  I realized that I am physically capable of waiting a few extra hours... if I have to. lol

But I did everything I could last night to make sure I could spend as much time as I can today reading!  As soon as Rori wakes up (and if she's not awake in 20 minutes, I'm waking her up!), we're off to grab me some Breakind Dawn!  Don't expect to hear from me until I've finished it!

We are now hours away from Breaking Dawn's release!

And for those of you who like teasers...

Stephenie Meyer released one random Breaking Dawn quote everyday for 3 weeks. She likes to tease and play with our minds so be careful not to read into any of them too much. I think a lot of them are probably said in a sarcastic tone so most probably do not mean what they sound like they mean. But for anyone who is interested, here they are...

And because this is MY blog and I can, I'm gonna comment on each one and what I think it means...

1.) Alice: "I’ll play you for it. Rock, paper, scissors."

Edward: "Why don’t you just tell me who wins?"

Alice: "I do. Excellent."


No mystery here. But I do want to say how much I love Alice! One of my very favorite parts of the series so far is the Chess game between Edward and Alice. ROFL!!!


2.) Bella: "Oh, Mike! How will I go on?".


I detect major sarcasm here.


3.) Tanya: "Ah, Edward. I’ve missed you."

I knew she'd be in this book! I predict Tanya's totally jealous of Bella and there's gonna be some kind of a battle between the Cullens and the Denali clan. When I read her quote here, I sense some kind of evilness. I don't like her.


4.) Emmett: "Oooo, scary."

Again, major sarcasm. What would Emmett really be afraid of? And even if he was afraid, he would never say anything like that.


5.) Bella: “Jasper? What do vampires do for bachelor parties? You’re not taking him to a strip club, are you?”

Haha! I don't think Bella's seriously worried. But maybe a little. lol


6.) Charlie: "Bells, we’re up to bat."

I know this sounds like Charlie is playing baseball with the Cullens and I think that's what it is supposed to sound like - to trick us! No, I think he's just saying, Hey Bella, it's our turn. ... Like to walk down the aisle at her wedding? Or even something more innocent. Who knows. And while I'm totally all for Charlie learning about the vampires if Bella gets turned (I don't want him to be kept in the dark if she has to stay away from him for a long time - plus, when/if she changes she is going to look different - more pale and more beautiful, and probably will be less clumsy. lol), I don't think this quote has anything to do with that. I mean, even if he knew about the vampires, they wouldn't play ball with them - they'd just be watching the game... Unless they are vampires too... ;)


7.) Edward: "You’re awfully small to be so hugely irritating."

Initially I thought this was being said to Alice, kind of as a joke. He has said nearly the same thing to her already. But it could also be to another vampire - like Tanya? And if so, it's likely not a joke.


8.) Bella: “Why am I covered in feathers?”

To me, this is obvious. Alice is playing "dress-up" with Bella again. lol


9.) Alice: “No one will dare to call you plain when I’m through with you.”

Bella: “Only because they’re afraid you’ll suck their blood.”


Um. This doesn't seem like a teaser at all. Sounds like any normal convo that they would have. Bella is always thinking she is plain. And her comment is just as a joke, obviously no one is really afraid of Alice because no one knows she's a vampire. She's just always saying sarcastic stuff and this is another one of her lines.


10.) Edward: “Oops.”

LOL Okay, this is another one of those times that I think it's NOTHING. Edward wouldn't say "oops" if there was something really wrong. I think he does something on purpose and "pretends" it's an accident.


11.) Renee: "Alice wouldn’t let us do anything else. Every time we tried, she all but ripped our throats out."

Obviously this is about planning the wedding. And obviously it's just a figure of speech, I don't think Renee knows Alice is a vampire - at least not at this point.


12.) Edward: “Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.”

Who can read this and not totally fall in love with Edward??? SO SWEET!!!!! And so Edward. :)


13.) Rosalie: "Over my pile of ashes."

LOL I love these quotes! Rosalie is saying the equivelant of "Over my dead body." And the only mystery is: Who is she talking to and what is the context? Is she saying it jokingly with a member of her family, or is she seriuosly challenging an enemy? Hmmm... could be either. If I had to guess, I predict she is saying this to an enemy. I have suggested and still think that in the battle, she comes to Bella's defense and I really think Rosalie is going to die to save Bella. It just seems right to me. (I do like Rosalie, A LOT, I don't want her to die. It's just my prediction.)


14.) Edward: “You look so guilty—like you’ve committed a crime.”

Nothing major. Probaly talking to Bella about her lying to her parents about her future or something. I know that is major, but it's nothing new.


15.) Sam: “This is not something our treaty anticipated. This is a danger to every human in the area."

I am so interested in this one! It could mean so many things. I totally believe it's serious though. It's just - what is this "something"? Is it the Denali Clan? Is it the Volturi? Is it Jacob returning, really upset and out of control? Or maybe it's a combination of all of the above and some huge battle that will take place? I really don't know... but whatever it is, I think it's gonna be major.


16.) Rosalie: "I’d like to beat you dead."

I think the italics mean a lot. Without them, this could mean anything. But with them, it makes me think this is a comment made in a joking manner. Like someone says, "So and so is gonna beat me dead." And she comments, "I'd like to beat you dead." At least, that's my guess.


17.) "Jasper: “I can’t understand. I can’t bear this.”

Oooh, I think this is said in seriousness. Is he surrounded by so many strong emotions that it's too much for him to bear? Or is just one person's emotion so strong that it's more than he can stand? I really don't want to think what it sounds like... I don't even want to say it... that maybe something happens to Alice and he can't believe it and doesn't know how to deal with it. No, No, NO!!! I refuse to believe that's a possibility! lol


18.) Seth: "You’ll hurt her. Let her go."

Another great one!!! I am so curious!!! Could he be telling Jacob to let Bella go? Of all the things I can think of, this is the one I believe the most.


19.) Carlisle: “I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome.”

Very interesting. Someone is going to be hurt so badly, that there may be nothing that can save them. Who is that someone??? Bella? Charlie? A werewolf?


20.) Jacob: “I’ll kill you myself! I’ll do it now!”

I first thought of when Jacob told Bella he would rather see her dead than to become a vampire. But then later, he seemed to come to terms with her decision and I don't think he would say this to her now. I think more likely, he's talking to Edward. Probably threatening to kill him if he turns Bella into a vampire. Ooh, I just had a thought. What if he's talking to Sam or Seth? What if he's mad because they are making a choice he totally disagrees with? Like - Sam making a new treaty with the vampires or Seth being such good friends with Edward - and he's worried that they will be in danger because of it. Hmm... It still seems like something he's more likely to say to Edward. But who knows!

I'm thinking two things: Either right before a big battle that they don't know they can win OR right before he turns her!



And there you have it! I guess we won't know for sure... until tomorrow!!!! Can't wait!!!! :)

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good:

•Rori has been sleeping GREAT! Seriously great! She usually sleeps well, but this is probably the best she's ever slept before. :D

•I am going to visit a friend tonight! (And probably spend a lot of money on candles. lol)

•Breaking Dawn is 4 days away!!! I cannot wait! And here is a little spoiler (though, it's not as much of a spoiler as they make it out to be). I am seriously SO HAPPY about this! :)

•I've been working on getting all of our pictures on my computer and edited for the last two days and now I'm just uploading them to PhotoBucket. It'll take awhile, there are a few hundred. lol But SOON, I'll have some to post. :)

The bad:

•Rori and I took Ryan to the airport this morning. He's going to be in Massachusetts for the next week and a half. It's not really a bad thing; I'm glad he'll be able to spend more time with family and he'll also be with Cadi so she won't feel so homesick. But I'm gonna miss them both!!! :( I am not excited about the next week and a half alone. Stupid work not flying Rori and I out with him. :P But there is a lot I can and should do here so it's probably better this way. I hope Cadi's having a ton of fun! She did get to see some of DC (The White House and some monuments) and a little of NYC (Empire State building and Statue of Liberty).

•I have had a migraine for about 3 days now. *grrrrrr*

•I "get" to pack for a week of camping all by myself before Ryan and Cadi get home. But I guess that's okay since I like to be in control of packing things anyway. I just usually like some help.

The ugly:

•I'm determined to lose a few lbs while Ryan's gone. With just me and Rori, I have a feeling I won't be doing a ton of cooking, so I stocked up on salad stuff and fresh fruits and veggies. I know I can't drop a lot of weight in less than two weeks but I want to try to lose a few and just get some weight loss started so I can keep it up and then in a couple of months I will see a difference. I hope! lol

•Rori has been making this face; it's not really "ugly" but it sure is silly! She scrunches up her face and looks at you like either 1) she's mad at you or 2) she thinks you're absolutely crazy. It's a joke of her's. She'll make the face, hold it for a few seconds, then bust up laughing. lol It's hard to capture on film, but I'll see if we have a pic or two that come close.

What's One More?

Do you think someone would notice if I just tagged along on their family vacation? lol

We are expecting Ryan's brother and his family this weekend. Then they are heading up to Olympic National Park for a few days and will return for the Fourth of July. They have invited Acadia to join them on their camping trip and I'm thinking that will be fun for her; she will love having more play time with her cousins!

I knew Olympic National Park was north but I didn't realize it's exact location. This afternoon, I searched for the exact location of Olympic National Park, and now I have a serious problem: I WANNA GO!!! Olympic National Park is located right near Port Angeles and Forks!!! Hello!!! I could go hang out with Edward and Bella!!!

Yes, I should have realized that from reading the books, it is mentioned in them. I just didn't realize that it was right there.

I'm tempted to pack myself in Cadi's bag. ;) Too bad I have too many things to take care of here to just drop everything and run away for a few days!

Today is Edward Cullen's birthday!   

 

He is 107 today and I'm wondering what does one do to celebrate their 107th birthday?

If there's a thunderstorm nearby, he could play ball with his family...

Or perhaps he could compose another lullaby...

Or marry Bella Swan...
