Didn't we call it? Yeah Baby, the Patriots won the SuperBowl!!!
Well, we haven't watched the game yet, it turns out we got called last night and had it spoiled. We are still going to watch it. We actually got called first to have it rubbed in that that Eagles were ahead. Of course, that didn't last long (Was there ever any doubt?) and we noticed that the "certain someone" who called us to rub it in didn't call when the tide turned again! But we still love you Beckie!!!
This morning I called Acadia's school to let them know that she's gonna stay home today - sick again! She woke up around midnight with a headache. Went back to bed. Then got up around 2:30 to use the bathroom. Went back to bed. Finally woke up at 4:00 exclaiming she was going to throw up. Nothing gets you up and out of bed quicker than that! I "sprang" from my bed and have been up with her since.
I cheated and dozed on the couch while she watched some of her shows. But I am still exhausted!

Until then...
I've been "making my rounds", checking out the blogs I read and e-mails, reading the news. I have to do this now because in a little over an hour, I won't be allowed to go on-line...at least not until Ryan and I watch our taped copy of the SuperBowl tomorrow morning!
We even called "the folks" earlier so we wouldn't be talking to them after the game, risking the spoiled outcome.
This is the only Sunday game of the year that Ryan actually watches. Normally, we will simply check the stats and scores on-line. We only watch if its any other day of the week. And if it were anyother team playing we wouldn't care either. But our boys are back and playing well! Go Patriots!!!
So, DO NOT call us tonight and tell us who won the SuperBowl!!! (Not that you need to tell us, we know the Pats are gonna win it!) We are getting up FIRST THING tomorrow and watching our game just like everyone else - not knowing the plays until we see them.

?!?
Okay, I don't get it! These girls were doing something nice for their neighbors and are getting fined for it!?!
Okay Lady, if you have to go to the emergency room just because some nice neighborhood girls leave cookies and cute Valentine hearts on your doorstep, then YOU have problems - NOT the girls!
As noted in the article, they chose to stay home and bake cookies for their neighbors instead of attending a dance that they knew would have a bad atmosphere.
Uh...what are we teaching our youth?

I can't dance.
OK, you guys know me...I really can't dance!
But the youth are having this HUGE 4 Stake Dance Festival this year. And as a leader, I need to be at all the practices (provide control, support, rides, etc). Well, I thought we would just stand back and hold up the walls while we watched the kids learn.
WRONG!!!
We are supposed to learn it too! We won't be performing (THANK GOODNESS!!!), but we need to learn so we can help our kids learn if they are having trouble. Also, all the adult YW leaders needed to fill in as "boys" since we had more girls than guys.
So, I'm learning an Israeli Folk dance. I didn't know there was such a thing. But of course, I don't know everything. ;)
And what is an Israeli Folk dance? Well, so far we are doing alot of going in circles either running, bouncing, turning, or stomping. It is actually kind of cool. And it counts as my cardio today!
The next meeting we have is actually the official "kick off" in Long View. Its on the 15th and we'll have to leave around 5:30 and will get back around 9:30. But it is supposed to be really fun.
The next 6 months will be hard work and I know some of the kids are going to start complaining and try to get out of doing it, but it will be so worth it in the end. If you need a reason to come visit us this summer, make it the weekend of July 22 (actually its Thurs-Sat) and come see my girls dance! Plus, the BYU Dancers will be here, giving the youth motivational talks and participating in the dances as well.

600
I've had 600 comments on my blog!
Isn't there some TV Evangical group/show called the 600 Club? If so, how is it that I know this? I'm not one who usually pays attention to things like that. Weird.
So...speaking of clubs...okay, this doesn't have anything to do with clubs really...I went to the gym today. I met R.B. (His name is Ryan, but not to be confused with my Ryan. Also, the guy who signed my up for my membership earlier this week was named Ryan. They have 4 different Ryans working at that location!)...oh yeah, I was saying... I met R.B. and he gave me my official orientation to the gym. We talked about my goals and he cleared up some common myths to help me achieve my goals more easily.
Then for the fun part...I got weighed and measured. Okay, first off, this R.B. guy was pretty cute, young and pretty fit. (Debi, think swimmer's body) I kept telling myself that he's probably measured tons of people way more out of shape than me, but I don't think I was buying it.
So, first the scale. Which to be honest was a little of a relief because it showed me a couple pounds less than my scale at home! That NEVER happens! Then there was all the measuring. First with a measuring tape and then the fat pincher.
Okay, let me say that I'm just not used to having a man I don't know, who isn't even my doctor pinching my fat under my clothes! Okay, only one place was under my clothes. There would have been two, but since I was wearing my "G" top under my bra, the skin really wasn't very accessible.
Okay, so now I know Mom will never join a gym! This appointment was optional, so Mom if you ever join one and its offered, you can just say no.
Anyhow, after I found out I was in the "average" to "fair" bracket, he asked what area I wanted him to show me exercises for. I said abs! So, he showed me a ton of stuff I had never seen before that I would never have guessed worked your abs! Only one exercise was something I expected: crunches while laying back on a ball.
The funny thing is, just after trying a few of the exercises he showed me, my abs feel it. Before when I would do hundreds of crunches on the "ab machines" I never felt anything later in the day, which really made me wonder if they were working. Now I know...they weren't.
Yep, so that was my excitment today. When I told Ryan about the session, he was kind of (but not really) weirded out that I was talking about being with a Ryan and it wasn't him. This can't have been the first time I've associated with another Ryan before. I guess that's what he gets for having a common name!

Today in a Nutshell
Slept in , Cadi had no school today. This felt so good since I haven't been feeling well.
Did some cleaning Though really, I just did dishes and made Cadi pick up her toys.
Closed two PartyLite shows Both reached $300, but one only did with help from me. So I'm claiming the bonus for that level - 12 dozen tealights for only $12...yeah baby!
Played Hookie Didn't take Cadi to dance or Girl Scouts. Plus Mia Maids will be at our teacher's house instead of here. All because of this cold that I'm fighting. It's makin' me tired and my throat is sore.
However! We have discovered Emer'gen'C, which is a fizzy vitamin C drink. It tastes pretty good and I'm sure it is making a big difference in my cold verses Ryan's cold. I've been drinking that stuff like crazy and I'm (so far) not nearly as sick as Ryan was. Let's hope my luck holds!
Won Debi's Contest... Don't know what I won yet, I'm secretly hoping for a killer whale or baby grand piano.

Ryan's Revenge
I don't know what it is revenge for, mind you. But for some unapparent reason, he has decided that its just not fun being the only one sick.
So, now my throat is starting to hurt. Actually, it started last night. I'm gonna fight it though! I will not get as sick as Ryan and I definitely will not be sick for as long as Ryan. Dag-nab-it!
The big question is...what do I do about young womens tomorrow night. The Mia Maids were planning on coming here to watch "The Best Two Years". If I am sick, they really shouldn't because it proves this house is contagious. Do I cancel? Do I arrange for one of the families to host it at their house? And if so, do I go or not? I might need to call my president today for counsel on this.
But, before I got sick yesterday I did get lots of stuff done. Just busy stuff, but one of the things was to join the gym. So, I did it! I belong to 24 Hour Fitness and will be footing the bill to prove it. I am really glad. I love working out at the gym. I'm trying to decide whether to go today. I am leaning towards going and just doing weights. Cardio would be foolish since I am getting sick. So ya, I'm gonna get fit!
I think I'm gonna kick Ryan out of bed and make him take Cadi to the bus stop. hehehe
