My "first kiss" died on Saturday.

My first dolphin kiss, that is.  And that's not counting the killer whale that kissed me when I was twelve.  She died a few years ago.

No, I'm talking about Sharky the dolphin that I kissed at Discovery Cove in Orlando almost 4 years ago.  Apparently, she collided with another dolphin during an aerial stunt and died.  The other dolphin is being monitored but appears to be fine.  It's the first time they've had an accident like that.  Sad. :(

Here's me and Sharky during our special moment.

A Montage of Montages

I'm so excited to be able to make my movies again!  I'm so behind on getting last year's video's compiled for our parents and so I'm excited to FINALLY get that done.  That is this week's project. lol  But first, I made the montages that will go at the end of that dvd and you're invited to their worldwide debut. ;)

We Are The Dinosaurs

Good news: I'm up and running (in regards to my dvds).  I have installed a new program and though it's a good program, it doesn't have as many bells and whistles as my old one, and I miss some of them.  But at least I can make movies again and I can do MOST of what I liked to do before. :)

Since I'm back in business, I get to share with you the lip sync that I participated in tonight.  Our ward (church congregation) had a lip sync and each auxilliary was required to do one.  My presidency and I used "We Are The Dinosaurs", which is a children's song.  Of course, this song and the general idea of it was my secretary's idea but she ended up sick today! :(   But my counselors and I did just a little juggling and I don't think you would have known that we originally choreographed for four.

Without further ado...

They do judge the lip syncs and everyone got an award.  Our award was for "Most Creative".  And at the end, we ended up getting "Best In Show" too!  It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad it's over! lol

Go To Work

Last night, a miracle occured... I was able to burn a dvd!!! I was SO HAPPY!!! So, I'm burning another one now. ;) I have quite a lot to do to get caught up, so guess what I'll be doing during every spare moment I get for the next few days? lol

Today is "Take Your Child to Work" Day. For the first time, Ryan actually has an office in a location where Cadi is allowed to visit. He did have a couple of meetings in the morning but we met him after that, had lunch with him, and then Cadi stayed with him at work for the remainder of the day. I think she got bored though; she called me after about 3 hours and said she "didn't feel good". Yeah, whatever. That's what she says everytime she's bored. :S Tough it out girl, that's what you do when you're in the real working world. lol

I did take a few pics but since I haven't installed my photo editing software yet, and I am nervous to upload any pictures while I'm attempting to burn another dvd right now anyway, you'll just have to wait. Stay tuned... :)
***Update: I spoke too soon. The attempt to burn this dvd failed. UGH!!! I give up. Ryan bought us new software and I'm going to install it. I was hoping that if my software would work, I could return what he just bought. Apparently not. :( I guess it's okay, the new software is sure to be more updated and have more bells and whistles than the one I was using. :)

So Frustrated!!!

Ryan spent a good part of this weekend wiping our computer clean and reformatting it. I was most interested in being able to finally have my software working so I could make my dvds. Today I reinstalled the software and when I went to burn the dvd, it froze!!! UGH!!! Words do not begin to describe how frustrated I am!!! :(

I need ice cream. It's a good thing we don't have any.

Patriot's Day

Not to be confused with Patriot Day.

"What's the difference?" you ask? Well, Patriot Day is the national holiday that September 11th is now known as. However, LONG before 9-11 ever occured, New England had been celebrating Patriot's Day on the 3rd Monday of every April in remembrance of the battles fought in Lexington and Concord. It's been a legal holiday for over 100 years and many people in New England get the day off to celebrate. Also, every year, the Boston Marathon is held on Patriot's Day.

To celebrate, though we're 3000 miles away, I ran at the gym (2 miles straight before having to walk!) and after my shower, changed into my Patriots jersey. lol

Happy Patriot's Day!

Falling in love all over again.

My husband is so awesome. Last week he bought us a nice new big TV. :)

And since that time, LOTR has been playing nearly nonstop. lol And not by my doing! Acadia spends every extra moment she has watching those movies. Yesterday she put Fellowship of the Ring on as soon as she got up and by the time she had gone to sleep, had watched the entire trilogy, extended versions. I've created a monster... and I've never been more proud. ;) lol

While watching the movies on the nice new big screen, I'm noticing many details that I haven't noticed before. Little things. It's awesome! LOTR rocks! I hadn't fallen out of love, but this week I feel like I've fallen in love all over again. lol
