Vacay Pics Pt. 4

We headed to Myrtle Beach Wednesday morning.  I was excited to be heading somewhere that would hopefully be less hot and humid. lol  I was also excited to meet Ryan's other cousin in the area, Suzie.  And of course, I was excited to go to the beach!

We got to Myrtle Beach around lunchtime and checked into our hotel.  Suzie is the manager at the Sheraton and she told us she would set us up with our rooms but we were shocked when we checked in and found out we were going to be staying in the Presidential Suite!

Our room

The Master, where Ryan's parent's slept.

Our room. Suzie left us some beach toys to take to the beach, Rori loved playing with them.

Cadi's bed

We had nice vaulted ceilings.

The view from our room.

A view from our room.

Rori really liked playing in the windows. lol
Great view, Mom!

Where's she go?

She also liked playing in the big cabinets under the sink and under the TV. lol

After we had checked in, we quickly got ready to go to the beach!  We went to a spot that was about half way between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach (it was much less crowded).  The waves were a little higher than normal but we still had a great time!  The water was wonderful!  It wasn't anything like the water on the West Coast, it was warm!  I loved it!

Rori didn't want to wait for me, she took off running down the boardwalk! lol

Come on, Mom! Stop taking pictures and let's get going!

Are we ready to have some fun? YES!

Cadi and Grandma wasted no time at all - they were the first ones in the surf!

Don't worry, Rori was never allowed near the water without one of the adults.  Though, she tried. lol

Fearless

It was fun but we were all spitting salt water whenever we got out of the water. lol

And the salt water stung our eyes a bit.

Grandpa and Cadi

Rori and Dad

I tried boogie boarding for the first time. lol

Just havin' fun!

Ryan took turns pulling the girls on the boogie board.  They loved it! lol

Rori and Grandpa

Getting chased by the Daddy Monster!

Finally ready to dry off.

Just taking a nice stroll down the beach with Grandpa.

After having a great time at the beach, we went back to our room to shower and clean up.

Suzie got us tickets to see Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede that night.  It was fun, the girls really enjoyed it.  Some of the stunts were pretty cool.  Here are a few pictures:

We were able to look at the horses as we walked toward the entrance.

Girls gone wild!

Grandma and Grandpa

Rye-n-Rye

After the show, we hit some outlets and did some shopping. :)  Later when we got home, I took a pic of the view from our room at night:

City Lights

It was a fun day - we fit a lot in!  There's still more to come, so check back in later! :)

Vacay Pics Pt. 3

On Monday, we (Ryan, me, the girls, Ryan's parents, and Ryan's grandma) went to the mall to get pictures taken.  We had four generations together and we wanted to make sure to get some portraits taken.  Unfortunately, I don't have any of them yet.  We are having them all sent to Masachusetts and when Ryan and Cadi come home, they will bring ours then.  So... sit tight for those.

Later that night though, we all went out to dinner together:

You can really see how hot we were in these next pics.  The locals were fine, but we were just sweating nonstop!  And even when we were inside, the a/c would be on and that was nice, but it was rarely set low enough where we were really comfortable, it was still kind of muggy.  So, please excuse our glistening skin and greasy-looking hair.  We really did bathe while we were there! lol

See no evil

Speak no evil

Three cute girls.

On Tuesday, we (Ryan, Susan, and I) took the girls to the local children's science museum, SciWorks.

These were magnetic, so you could rearrange them however you wanted.

This was pretty cool.

Rori liked playing the game but refused to have anyone help her, she wanted to do it all by herself! Can you tell she was ready to turn two? lol

Rori really liked looking at the fish through the window:

This place has really gone to the birds!

Cadi

Rori

Rori's been working on her animal noises, so it was fun for her to play with the farm animals:
Oink, oink!

Look, Cadi caught a goldfish! lol

A WonderPet!

We saw the museum's plantetarium laser show.  We were all thinking "naptime", laying back in those seats ready for the room to get nice and dark.  But that laser show was so BUSY that we all ended up dizzy and sick instead.  And by all, I mean Ryan, Susan, and I.  The girls were totally fine. lol

Do Re Mi

Making music

I think we have another future musician on our hands.

Here's another pic from that day, Susan took it when I was giving Rori a piggyback ride.

The next set of pictures will be from Myrtle Beach!  Stay tuned!
